He knows - Just leave it to him

Before I say who is this "HE" that I am talking about, I have a little story for you. Well, its not a story lets say its an imaginary situation in your life.

Lets say your best friend is having some problem or needs help. So he/she goes to a bunch of common friends of yours seeking help. Let say your best friend needs some 100 bucks and all your other friends talk about it when you are around. Finally your friend doesn't get money from any of her friends and comes to you for help. You knew your best friend needs some money and he/she doesn't comes to you first. How does it feel?

The same logic apply when we deal with "him". Thats right, I am talking about the supreme power who drives this world - people call him GOD (People who don't believe in god, I am sorry you are wasting your time by reading the rest).  He knows whats going on in your life, actually most people say he decides what has to happen in your life. But all we do is, when we get a problem or need any help, first thing that comes on our mind is "you know what I can solve it" or "I know someone who can help me on this" … . I seriously appreciate that positive attitude.. Everyone should have a positive feeling towards solving any problem they face.

But, sometimes or I say most of the times we fail. It could be completely or partly. Some cases we successfully solve them. Leave the success stories, it just make you a more confident person with a little head weight added with it. Whereas when we feel that we can't solve it, we end up going to "him" i.e. GOD. Will say these beautiful and impressive words (I did it lots of time). "I tried my best to solve it, Looks like I can't. Dear god please help me in getting over this".  So we try our best to solve something and finally we go to him for the help. Surprisingly he knows whats going on in our life. Now God is in your position and you are in your best friend's position. Its an different story here because no matter what you do, he always help you. It would be by solving your little problem or by teaching you a lesson about the mistakes you did.

You have seen Doctors saying (at least in movies) the truth about him more often than anyone in this world.

"You know what, We have done all the things that we could do. Now its in his hand. Trust him, he will help you".

Anyway, from now on lets have a new positive attitude in our life. Before we start our new day ( every day has a new problem) lets think this way.

I have a problem, I will try to solve it. I trust you, so its your duty to help me in solving it.

You are with me? I am following this new thing quite sometime and it feels great!. You are just taking the pressure off your mind and putting on him. Trust me, it feels good.

Dr. Sheldon Cooper

I sure most of us heard of Dr. Sheldon Lee Cooper [B.S, M.S, M.A, Ph.D, Sc.D]. He is awesome,  geek, hilarious and what not. For those who don't know Dr.Sheldon, he is an character in Big Bang Theory a tv series which gets telecasted in CBS(USA) and Zee Cafe (India) . I am watching this series from its season one. When I started watching the first episode of season one, I didn't understand a word they were saying. Now season 5 is running and I am pretty good in following them.

The best part of this series is how they present a set of geeks in a funny way. Every character is amazing and Dr.Sheldon Cooper is the best. Here are few awesome dialog from him which I like;

  • He goes to Penny (neighbor) house and knocks the door .. "Penny.. Penny… Penny… " :) :)

  • Whenever he crack any jokes he says this word "Bazzinga".. I love the way he says it

We love you Sheldon.. You are the best!!

Relationship - You need it

Hello everyone,

Its been a while i wrote something on the web the reason is I am a lazy ass.. So thought why can't I write something today and here i am writing about a relationship (from my experiences).. Before I start anything, I just to let you know that my GMAT exam went well (Not so well as expected) but a good score (not sufficient). I am planning to retake it. I tell you that start later.

Anyways, whenever anyone want to discuss or talk about relationship they always start with problems in relationship and without their knowledge they end-up saying good things about it. Perhaps its the truth. Well, I am not making any point or its an expert opinion but I do have some experience in it and i am sharing them.

If a stranger talk to me in some party or in some marriage and start conversing (if he/she doesn't start one, I will) and later in the conversation if he/she ask  "do you have a girl friend?". I say I do with a big smile on my face,  because it feels great. But when you talk to your best friend about your girl friend, you go like "Dude another fight today..".

Every relationship has a tons of joy, happiness and fights. But all we remember is our fights not the joy or happy moments. Thats because when fight starts, it mostly ends in ego clash or "I am right and you are wrong".  I tell you, after the fight is over & all that anger comes down, you do remember the good times.. It could be coffee you had together that morning or a nice conversation that you had over the phone. That time it hits your mind and suddenly you pick up your phone and start texting "Sorry! I was wrong" and you get the same form other end too.

I hope i am not giving any lecture here; whatever i go on.. After some years in relationship your way of pursuing things are completely different. Your career, your life style,  friends of yours and more. You do give more importance to them and you expect your gal/guy to do the same or at least supportive.

If I talk about me, these days i kind of planning my higher studies and i am loving how my girl friend supporting me. We had good talks and future plans. Seriously i was worried so much when i thought about studies, commitments but after a good long talk with her i am feeling so relived.

"Relationship is a responsibility but you have other one to share it "

So all i am saying is you can't know about relationship until you will be in one. Its not a class someone teach you its an on job training :)

I started awful and i am doing better now and I know i will be awesome sooner or later.

I guess that it. I put my thoughts here. What d you think? Let me know by leaving comments.

Take care!

Emission checkup is it a rule?

Hey people,

Emission checkup is it a rule?; Are we capable of saving our own earth? these are the  big questions runing in my mind all the time. I haven't got as such found any answer for it. I know lots of people are trying hard to create the awareness.

I live in Bangalore, I commute in the city by my Bike. I get to see the world in different way. Every time when I travel inside the city I feel, its very difficult to save the earth.

Let me tell you some examples. As per my observation, if 10 people working for saving earth there are more than 100 people with or without their knowledge spoiling the earth at a greater level. Today I only talk about air pollution in metropolitan cities from vehicle on the road.

In Bangalore I am sure there is no concept called "Emission Check". Even such rule exists its only for Private vehicles(Whiteboard number plate) not for Service vehicles(Yellow board number plate). You can't imagine how much these service vehicles emit smoke.

If you are riding bike and going behind couple of auto rickshaw you need to guess the road because you can't see it anything, you will be completely covered with thick smoke which make your eye burn, make you feel suffocated etc etc. And our Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation( BMTC) buses; they are worst than any vehicle on the road. One BMTC but can replace 10 auto rickshaws, I am not talking about people it carry; but about the amount of smoke it emits.

I am tried telling these people; Looks like some issue in your vehicle please check them for emission. If you tell any auto rickshaw driver that his vehicle is too emitting lot of smoke; his answer "Mind your work, its my vehicle, my wish". BMTC buses are out of control. They are having an board behind them "Please call this number if this vehicle emitting too much of smoke". I called the number which is not reachable.

If I keeping telling you the problem which I see everyday, it will become a book. I will stop here.

I just want to convey only one message, If you own a vehicle please do the emission checked.

Few more interesting pics for you check it out!!

Just 2 auto's can do this.. think of 2 lakhs

New Year resolution - Weight Gain

You have seen people struggling to loose weight… But I am on the other side of the same road.. I am dying to gain weight!!. Well it all started like 2 years ago, when I first traveled to USA. I met lot of new people. After couple of meets, everyone said the same thing.. VJ don't take this in wrong way!! Seriously bro, you need to gain some weight.

Initially i never took it seriously, I used to respond like "Ya, I have to" and leave it then n there… When lot of people started making same comments, I took it seriously. I googled and got tips to gain weight… Being an vegetarian I get to see very less options… I have seen some tips from some people, trying to convince the reader to eat egg considering it as Veg.  Anyways, what ever it is, I started my weight gaining program.. It all went well for some time.. eating 5 meals a day, drinking fresh fruit juice, workouts regularly… After 2 months of efforts, it was time for me to see where I stand (Of course on weighing scale :P )… I was shocked looking at the outcome, I lost 3 pounds :(. Thats it, I stopped all that crap and returned my normal life; guess what, gain 3 pounds back in a month.

Its been 4 months I am in India. I recently joined new work place and again, same old story started from my new colleagues.. You need to gain weight…. Well I said the same thing.. But this time I am at home.. So spoke to my mom to take care of me well, So that I gain some weight!!.. You know how mom take care of you.. She keep feeding some or the other food….

But today many times I felt that I am very thin, Now I am desperate to gain weight… Being 6'2'' guy, I look very lean, which make me look very tall too… So my new year (I consider Ugadi as new year) resolution is to gain some weight!!

Wish me luck.. At least this time want to gain some KGs(muscle, fat.. whatever, I don't care) … If you have any tips, you are welcome!!

Note : I am pure vegetarian, NO EGG or NO MEAT…

Rubik's cube - Good time pass puzzle

Its been while I started solving Rubiks cube. Its an nice time pass puzzle to solve. When you start to solve it for the first time, the main challenge is to learn the logic how to solve… Once you are familiar with the logic you can work on timing, later blindfold etc..

Try it!! Its not a puzzle for kids. We are worst than kids. I know one kid "Sree Ram", he is 8 years old and he can solve this cube in 45 sec.. For me, it takes 10 mins..

Try it out!!!

I am just one, I can't make a difference

Hey ...

I am sure, most of you have heard of  this famous statement "I can't do anything alone" or "I can't change everything alone". Well this is not just a statement its an attitude. This could come either from frustration or laziness. Well I am writing this post because, from month or so, I am arguing too much with lot of people about our country, education system, politics etc. You know, when you argue on these topics, the opponent has only one statement to say " Hello, I am just one person, How much I can change this?"; and power of this statement is I don't have answer for this.

I just want to say one thing here, I know, you know and whole world knows You alone can't change anything. But you can do some good things or support good behavior. Who knows someone could be inspired my the way of life you are living.

Recently I was arguing with my friend on "Bribe"(Very hot topic, isn't it?). talk went on and on... He asked me, OK, I bribe, am I criminal? . I said, "Yes of course, you are!!" but I am not a cop to punish you. All I say is, whatever you did till now its OK, from now try not to bribe. You feel good about it. Today, your are one, tomorrow your friends could follow you and later their friends. He answered in a completely different way, actually I was shocked. Viji, listen, why should I give more money for govt? What is it doing to me? At least if I bribe that individual will be happy.etc. And argument went on.. Finally he said what I expected. "OK, even if I leave all these bad practice and start new thing, I am just one, what change I can make?"... I stopped my argument and return to resumed work.

With this post I just wanted to say, If you follow good practice in life, someone will follow it. If you think no one is following you, it doesn't matter, you are doing good things in life... you should feel good about it.

At this moment, I would like to thank all my friends and colleagues who listen to me and following good things in life. I also insist you to tell your friends about it.

Happiness and Sadness run parallel

Hey ppl..

Last weekend (5th & 6 Mar 2011) something unique happened to me, its an different experience all together. I faced happy moments and sad moments at the same time.

To start with March 5th and 6th, 2011 was an important dates for my friend "Pranesh Madhavan". This was the day he was getting married. Well way back then, when I used to live near New York, he was one of my friend.
We use to hangout a ton. His marriage was fixed and venue was decided at Chennai, India. For this occasion lot of my US friend planned to come. I was really excited to meet them and planned my trip well in advance i.e in Dec 2010 itself. As planned, I visited Chennai, attended marriage and enjoyed with my friends. That was the best weekend I spent with my USA friend.

But, there is a person who never care about your plans instead he will always executes his plans  ( GOD). He planned something else for me for that weekend. I was all set to go for marriage on Friday ( 4 Mar 2011), my Grand Mother( My mom's mom - Rangamma ) had Myocardial infarction( Heart attack) and she was admitted to "Jayadeva" hospital. I visited her on Friday before leaving to Chennai and had a word with Doctor. According to doctor it was mild attack, and she will be alright. With his words, I left to Chennai hoping I will see her on Monday.

I remember last time in hospital she said take care and kind of happy journey ( By that time, some nurse started shouting at me and grandma. She want me to go out and my grandma not to talk). With all that I left hospital and headed towards my cousin's house who drove us to Chennai that night.

I really enjoyed each and every moment at Marriage function. But I was trying to reach my parents here in Bangalore to check how is Grandma.  But no one was picking up my call. I thought they were busy and once they get time they will call me back.

When I didn't get any call from them for 2 days, I guessed something wrong. But still I was hoping for best and returned back to Bangalore on Sunday 2011 at 11:30 PM and heard the bad news. My Grandma expired on Saturday early morning itself :(

I still had my sweet/ happy memories of marriages in my mind and here death. My mind was kind of confused, shocked, blocked out for hours… I was not able to sleep, I was still not able to figure out, what was going on… Somehow after long time i.e early morning I slept.

Anyways, its been 2 days, I am almost normal now…

Before ending my post  I would like  to Congratulate "Pranesh Madavan" , "Shashi Madhavan"and wish them Happy Married Life

and

I will pray god to give my Grandma a good gathi in paraloka…

Spellchecker - My real enemy

Hey people,

Today I am writing something which is troubling me from very long time in my heart. Its my "Written English".
I am not sure how many of my friends know I suck in written English. It could be grammar, spelling mistake, sometime using wrong word... this list goes on and on....

Firstly, I started my journey of learning English in my school day (its not LKG or UKG, but its my 6th grade). I learnt alphabets and framing 3-4 letter words in 6 & 7 grade. When I moved to Hight School, it became nightmare. It was one of the tough subject I faced. Somehow I graduated from high school even without knowing much english.

Later joined college, with friends also used to speak Kannada. When my professors write something on board I remember I use to read word by word. Forgot to mention, my 11th and 12th grade were in English medium. Graduated from pre-university college and joined Engineering.

This is place which made me realize that "English" language is very important. Just an year before my graduation I started my preparation to learn everything about the language. My friends taught me grammar, tenses, when to use "is", "was" etc etc. Somehow with god grace by end of graduation I was able to speak some broken English.

When I joined Mahindra Satyam as a Software Engineer, work place taught me how to speak in English. I am sure, I am so much better in spoken english than I write it.

From past few months, I started writing blogs, essays and realized that " I am so bad at writing English". Let me put it this way - " I am not at all improved in my written English". The major reason for all this is Computers.

When ever i feel like writing something, I type it in Mircosoft Word or in some website. These application(word, browsers) are programmed to correct spellings if any. When I started my career as programmer, I used to pick spelling suggestion  from the computer to correct my spelling and without my knowledge it became a habit. Now I can't write on paper or type on any computer tool which not support spell check, because which make me uncomfortable. This uncomfortable feeling is fear of mistakes, which paper can't highlight or my mind either.

Now its time to put an end to this excuse. I decided try hard to improve my written english and want to feel myself good. I seek all my friends help in achieving this.

Last by not the least, I thank all my friends who made me realize this. And special thanks to "Girl" who always correct me then and there when ever i make any mistake.

P.S: Any spelling or grammatical mistakes please ignore.

Cheers,
Vijendra

Super Speciality Hospitals - Are they misleading the Doctors they hire?

Hey ppl,

How are you ? Today i am here to share my latest  doctor visit experience here in Bangalore.

Bangalore is a great city and very famous for its weather. Bangalore weather is ways awesome but its unpredictable and its been too cold these days. I usually use my bike to go to office. Riding the bike in the cold, sudden change in the weather and  I got sick.  I was feeling uncomfortable last thursday (21 Jan 2011) and I knew that i am going to get Fever. As expected i got fever on Thursday night. My health was not bad on friday morning so that i can skip my work, but it started becoming worst after when i was working at my office. So decided to take 'Off' and visit the doctor.

I told my manager about my health and directly headed to hospital (One of the Famous). I met this doctor who was in mid age(I guess some 10 years exp),  relaxing at his office (no patients). When I entered his office,

Me - Hi Doctor, I am Vijendra. How are you?
Dr. - Hi Vijendra. Whats your problem? (What else can you expect from a doctor).
Me- Hey i am sick, I am not feeling so good.

The conversation went on… He asked me some unnecessary questions like, do you live with friends? Do you work? Do you have insurance? etc. I told him, I stay with my parent, work in bangalore and I am insured. When i was describing my symptoms, i told him that "i am having throat pain". He took a look at it and he said

Dr. - Hey Vijendra you are having some serious problem. You may need to get admitted to hospital immediately.
Me - What?? What happened to me?
Dr. - You are having some infection in your throat which may lead to Pneumonia (I don't know how they are related)
Me - Really? But i am having this pain from morning.
Dr. - See you have to trust me, call your mom or dad, tell them to come here. You join now.

I tell you guys it was like someone forcing you to go to movie. After a minute pause, i answered him

Me - Doctor, do you have any Targets? I mean financially ?
Dr. - What? Enu heltha idira? (What are you taking?)
Me - Ade sir, immediate agi admit agu antha idiralla adakke kelide.. (You asked me to admin immediately, so i am guessing something is wrong)

The fight went on and on. Finally I left hospital with some dugs which the doctor prescribed me to take for a day (He was expecting me to get admitted next day). I didn't take the medication he prescribed, instead i took "Crosin" and I felt really good by morning.

This happened with me, I am fine since i did some google after i am back home and found nothing wrong with me. What about the uneducated people who come to these hospitals, these people will little rob them.

I am still thing about the solution for it, what we can do to stop all this crap, is these some awareness we can bring among the general public?

Feel free to comment.

Yours,
Vijendra

My place, My Bangalore - Namma Bengaluru

Hi everyone, Very Happy New Year!!!

Its been a while i was thinking to write this post about my place i.e. Bengaluru (Bendakaaluru--> Bangalore--->Bengaluru). Its been two months since I am back to India, i did observe a allot of changes around here. I will try to put my opinions here [Its completely personal].

As you already guessed whats my first topic, Traffic, yup it is. But this time i am feeling really good about the changes happened in traffic system here. Lots of improvements happened and more required too.But much better compare to couple of years. Firstly, traffic monitoring through cameras. It makes police life so easier, i use to feel pity on these police constables who can't catch any violated vehicles on the road but still need to stand in hot sun or rain or chilled weather. Now, you violate rule you will get your fine directly to registered address by mail. If you don't respond to it, you get warning letter followed by arrest warrant.

However I am not saying there is no cops on the road, even now they catch you if make any moving violation but no more paper receipts or bribe,  they are advanced in technology, its Blackberry. They will ask your vehicle number, you name, your DL number. thats it, they will print the receipt from the wireless printer which they have with them. It gets print instructions from the blackberry in which the police officer enter the fine details or violation info. Which is recoded against your DL number for future reference.

Lets park traffic for a while and talk about other things, like malls, restaurants . In two years there are around 5 new malls opened here. Each one is complete different from other. New restaurants like taco
bell, Shiok, Papa John's … Yummy yummy food.Still I didn't get time to visit any of these malls but I had once in Taco Bell.

Rental Cars are now available in Bangalore, if we are planning for any long trips why to waste miles in your won car, get a rental cars.. I heard about it, I don't have much info about it. Planning some trip this Jan, let me use this service.

Thats all for now, i really don;t want to bore you people…

Take care.

Fell free to comment. Your comments all matter for me to write a new post.
